This flag is all hand-stitched by me from a old and worn quilt piece.
I have put it through my grungy process. Any rips or worn areas have been left as found to give a very primitive tatter look.
I hand-stitched 1776 on the great old quilt piece. Then added blue civil war reproduction fabric piece that have been grungy up. Wee rusty start has been added to each flag.
I attached this flag to a vintage chair spindle that I painted and antiqued.
A wee paper mache cone has been painted, stars painted on primitively, and then antiqued. String added to give it a look of a rocket.
Each flag would be great in a old crock with flowers for the summer season, or a basket, and even a vase. Possiblities are endless.
Each is unquiely different and a true OLM OOAK design. No pattern was used in creative process.
Each flag is approximately 19 “ L from the bottom of the spindle to the top of the rocket tip. Flag itself is approximately 8 × 6.
